Underwear at The After Party

If you haven't been to The After Party you need to check it out. It's a great night with fun people in a crazy Broadway frenzy.

Anyhow... UNDERWEAR had the privilege of performing there this past Friday and it was a night of fun and hilarity. Check it out below. THEN... go buy your tickets to see UNDERWEAR: A SPACE MUSICAL in one of our last two performances (Wednesday at 9:45pm and Friday at 2:15pm).

Don't miss out on what Time Out New York gave 4 STARS and NYTheatre.com calls "fluffy, campy, zany, hysterically funny pop tuner... really, really, "blastin'"-ly good." AMNY.com says UNDERWEAR is one of the "12 shows to catch at the Fringe Festival."

Gisela Adisa, Adam Enright and Jackie Covas sing "Just One Thing" from UNDERWEAR: A SPACE MUSICAL at The After Party.

Cait Doyle and Jonathan Whitton sing "Let Me Be Your Teacher" from UNDERWEAR: A SPACE MUSICAL at The After Party.

And the kudos keep rolling in!

NYTheatre.com has posted their review of the show and the news is GREAT! Check it out at the following link in detail or see a short blurb from it below. :)

http://www.nytheatre.com/nytheatre/fnyc08_rev.php?0=S&1=544

"Mind control. Robots. World domination. Attractive men and women in their skivvies. That was enough to send 12 of my friends into an emailing frenzy to be the one to join me for Underwear: A Space Musical at FringeNYC. However, if you're not hooked already, perhaps it's worth mentioning that this fluffy, campy, zany, hysterically funny pop tuner is also really, really, "blastin'"-ly good. . . Don't let Underwear: A Space Musical blast off without seeing it while it's here at the Fringe! It's far too much fun to be missed." - Ethan Angelica, NYTheatre.com

UNDERWEAR: A SPACE MUSICAL GETS 4 STARS!!

Check out this review from Time Out New York:

**** (four stars) "It's kind of hard to dislike a musical that features illiterate models, mind-controlling skivvies, and a silver robot who sounds like Paul Lynde and wheels across the stage in a manner reminiscent of Starlight Express. Essentially a campy regional-theater Rocky Horror, with a bit of Futurama and The Wizard of Oz tossed into the mix, Underwear: A Space Musical certainly isn't flawless: The first act, for instance, could use some trimming, and a fondness for hackneyed humor is a must. ('So you're gonna follow the straight and narrow?' 'Well, the narrow, at least!') But the songs are catchy, the costumes skimpy, and the game cast has moxie to spare. Who could ask for anything more?" — Bruce Tantum, Clubs Editor

Continue to enjoy the Webisodes (more to come) and get back to this blog for updates, picture, etc.

The Groanies.

So... unrelated I know...but what have the Tony's become? Why the hell... yes why THE HELL... is it okay to not televise the designer awards... the best revival of a play, orchestrations, and egregiously... the best fucking BOOK OF A MUSICAL!!!! so Ariel can sing Part of Your World on TV... again! .... I'm sorry but I'd rather be back in a land of Tony's called 2004...where Hugh Jackman showed up in all his questionable sexuality/glory and hosted a FUCKING SHOW!!! not a loosely linked series of badly delivered/badly written one lines and plugs for shows that will close by the end of the year.

If I were a nominated Broadway musical and had to share the stage with the scenes from the other shows... NOT NOMINATED. i'd be pissed. And if i were a designer i'd be even more pissed... you can watch their awards/speeches online... the orchestra doesn't even play related music like they do when some movie actor who happened to play the 56th Roxie Hart gets onstage an hour later.

I have a new name for the Tony's... they are now the GROANIES... and I have the first one to give right now:

The Groany Award for Best Unintentional Impersonation of Joan Rivers goes to....
That theatre wing bitch that can't read a teleprompter or apparently stay away from the botox needle....
no names...
oh hell
names: Saundra Gilman.... get it together

That is all...
oh
and P.S.
Patty... you're crazy and I'm still not convinced you're not a coke addict... but damn you tore it up in gypo and you deserved to yell at the orchestra...i mean, if you're gonna diva out... go for the gold.

THAT is all.

kisses.

Uh oh! We have a Blog?

Hello blog readers.
All two of you...including me.
I hear blog is short for web log... which makes me question its origin. A log is a record that is kept on a long overseas voyage right? Well... I think we may someday have something exciting to write here... though It may not include discovering new territory for the Undies Empire... it just might feature a violent encounter with natives. Or maybe we'll be shipwrecked with our entire family and build a fancy tree house with running water and skylights and have lots of pet animals, our own waterpark, conveniently be from Switzerland and change our name to Robinson. It is more likely we get shipwrecked than we actually get the government to let us change our name for such an occurence... nevertheless the first stop on the voyage to FringeNYC was local auditions! They went well! But we can't wait for our New York call! (TBA....of course).
Peace!
Brizzandizzle!
